Georgia Advocacy Office

The Independent, Federally-Mandated Protection Advocacy System for People with Disabilities in Georgia. 

The GAO was founded in 1977.  Through its seven programs the use "a combination of supporting self-advocacy, citizen involvement, staf advocacy, and legal advocacy to protect and advocate for the rights of Georgians with disabilities."

Disability Rights Center of the Virgin Islands

The Disability Rights Center of the Virgin Islands (DRCVI) is the only territory-wide advocacy organization established by Congress that provides legal services to eligible persons with disabilities in the U.S. Virgin Islands. It was created on October 1, 1977

Department of Labor Civil Rights Center

The Office of External Enforcement (OEE) supports CRC's responsibility to assess, investigate and/or adjudicate complaints alleging discrimination.

For employment discrimination with employers that do not receive Federal financial assistance, the EEOC is responsible for enforcing Federal laws that make it illegal to discriminate against a job applicant or an employee because of their race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy), national origin, age (40 or older), disability or genetic information. It is also illegal to discriminate against a person because the person complained about discrimination, filed a charge of discrimination, or participated in an employment discrimination investigation or lawsuit.
